The University of Hawaii baseball team squandered a ninth-inning lead and lost 3-1 in 12 innings to Gonzaga on Monday at Les Murakami Stadium in Honolulu, falling to 1-15 this season.
Cabe Reiten hit a two-run triple for the Bulldogs (9-4-1) in the top of the 12th.
Michael Rucker (1-0) was the winning pitcher, delivering 3 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of starter Derek Callahan.
Marc Flores homered for UH in the second inning. Cory LeBrun's two-out single in the ninth off starter Scott Squier tied the score.
The Rainbows' Jon Flinn (0-2) entered to start the 10th and pitched the remainder of the game as UH dropped to 0-11 at home.
The teams are scheduled to meet again today.
