The University of Hawaii's Christian Standhardinger was named to the Big West men's basketball first team on Monday, and Kamilah Martin received women's all-conference first-team honors.
Sydney Haydel was voted women's defensive player of the year, and Isaac Fotu was named men's co-freshman of the year.
Standhardinger is the Warriors' leading scorer, averaging 15.9 points per game. He is the second-leading rebounder for UH, averaging 7.9 per game.
Martin is averaging 15.5 points and 9.7 rebounds, leading the Rainbow Wahine in both categories for the third straight season.
Haydel has a team-best 32 steals.
Fotu is averaging 9.9 points and 6.3 rebounds.
Shawna-Lei Kuehu was named the sixth woman of the year, and she and Ashleigh Karaitiana earned conference honorable mention. Karaitiana also was named to the all-freshman team.
Vander Joaquim received men's honorable mention.
Both the Rainbow Wahine and the Warriors will next play in the conference tournaments.
In the women's tournament in Irvine, Calif., UH has received a bye to the second round, and will face Cal State Northridge, UC Davis or Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday.
In the men's tournament, the Warriors are to play UC Irvine on Thursday in a first-round game in Anaheim, Calif.
