First photo: Federico Gajonera Rala, 74, gets his picture taken for his first U.S. passport Saturday at the Wailuku Post Office. Postal employees served as passport acceptance clerks, taking new applications and answering questions about the process, with no appointment necessary. Many residents don't realize that post offices process passport applications during normal business hours, including Saturdays, said Wailuku Postmaster Michelle Almeida.
