Rainbows get blasted by Rebels

The University of Hawaii baseball team suffered its worst loss of the season, losing to UNLV 14-1 on Monday at Las Vegas.

Mark Shannon (1-0) allowed five hits and one run over seven innings, and batted 3-for-5 with four RBIs for the Rebels (10-3), who scored nine runs in the sixth.

Matt Cooper (0-2) allowed four runs in five innings for the Rainbows (1-12). Andre Real and Piikea Kitamura both went 2-for-4 for Hawaii.
