Firefighters from Lahaina battled a brush fire reported at 8:57 p.m. Saturday at Ehehene Street, near Mile Marker 13 on Honapiilani Highway.
The area burned was approximately 2 acres and consisted of dry brush and grass. The fire was brought under control by 10:59 p.m. and extinguished at 11:38 p.m., according to Fire Services Chief Lee Mainaga.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No monetary damages or injuries were reported.
