WILL'S HEARTS IN HAIKU VALENTINE'S DAY SOIREE
Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Henry Kapono will headline the Will's Hearts in Haiku Valentine's Day Soiree 2013 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at the Haiku Mill, located at 250 Haiku Road. Musician Ekolu Kalama will also perform. The fundraising event will feature Valentine's Day-inspired food and silent auction. MAUI WHALE FESTIVAL'S WORLD WHALE DAY
A signature celebration of the Maui Whale Festival, and one of Maui's most popular community events, World Whale Day will splash into town from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Kalama Park in Kihei. Festivities kick off with Maui's Parade of Whales, followed by live entertainment on the main stage by top Hawaii recording stars, plus children's entertainment on a second stage. The day will also feature food, a children's carnival, a Made on Maui artisans fair, environmental displays and more. There will be free parking with free shuttle bus service from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Hope Chapel, on the corner of Piilani Highway and E. Welekahao St.; and at Azeka Place Maui Shopping Center on S. UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII WIND ENSEMBLE
The University of Hawaii Wind Ensemble is breezing into town for a free concert at 4 p.m. at the Baldwin High School auditorium in Wailuku.
