Adam Hernandez of Kihei and Kaila Nip of Lahaina were named to the Dean's List of Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore., for the fall semester. In order to be named to the Dean's List, students must have completed 12 graded credits and be in the top 10 percent of their class.
Cole Hendrickson of Haiku was recently named to Tarleton State University's Distinguished Students List for the fall 2012 semester. Hendrickson is enrolled on the Texas university's Stephenville campus and is majoring in geoscience.
Students on the list include freshmen and sophomores who have a minimum 3.25 grade-point ratio and no grade lower than a C, and juniors and seniors who have a minimum 3.5 GPR with no grade lower than a C. All must be in good standing with the university.
Zachary Ferguson of Lahaina has been named to the Dean's List of Bentley University in Waltham, Mass., for the fall semester. Ferguson is a junior and a marketing major. To be named to the Dean's List, a full-time student must have a grade-point average of 3.3 or higher with no course grade below 2.0 during the term.
Marci Sortor, dean and provost of St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., has named Kalyn Dorheim of Paia to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester. Dorheim is an undeclared major. She is the daughter of Annette Dorheim and Tracy Dorheim.
The list recognizes students with a semester grade-point average of 3.75 or higher.
Alexa Foley of Haiku earned placement on the Gonzaga University Dean's List for the fall semester. Students must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.69 to be included.

Danae Gabrielle Olaso, of Wailuku, was named to the Dean's Academic Honor List at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, for the 2012 fall semester. She is studying in the College of Arts and Sciences.
