In response to "Airline seats serving Maui estimated to hit 1.9 million" (The Maui News, Feb. 2), how about a moving walkway at OGG?
I have lived on Maui 40-plus years, and travel to the Mainland one or two times a year. When going to the departure gates for the Mainland flights, I am always puzzled why the moving walkway is not operating. I have never had the opportunity to use it.
Has it ever worked? Are airport officials waiting for parts? Or is there no money to fix it? The orange marker cones are getting old and need to be replaced.
We old folks want to know.
