Process less taxing with help of aides

The AARP Tax-Aide program, staffed by trained and certified volunteers, is expected to help about 1,000 low- and moderate-income people on the island prepare their forms this tax season. The service is available from 9 a.m. to noon at Kaunoa, Wednesdays through April 11 (appointment only, call 270-7308); Kahului Union Church Rooms 11, 12 and 13, Saturdays through April 14 on a first-come, first-served basis; West Maui Senior Center, first and third Tuesdays of the month through April 3 (appointment only, call 661-9432); and Kihei Community Center, second and fourth Mondays of the month through April 9, first-come, first-served basis.
