HONOLULU (AP) - Gov. Neil Abercrombie has raised more than $2 million for his re-election bid in 2014.
The Democrat's latest campaign spending report shows that he has about $1.4 million in cash on hand.
The governor raised just under $300,000 between July and December last year.
Abercrombie's donors included numerous members of Hawaii's business and legal communities, including the president of The Gas Co. and officials from First Hawaiian Bank and the Bank of Hawaii.
The governor also received thousands of dollars from Mainland organizations, including airline and technology companies.
Oracle Corp. CEO Larry Ellison, who owns most of Lanai, gave Abercrombie $5,000.
Abercrombie became governor of Hawaii in 2010.
