Big game means big day for restaurant

February 4, 2013
The Maui News

Don Taylor (from left) of Makawao, Jody Partyka of Kula and Catz Araki of Pukalani watch the first half of the Super Bowl on Sunday at the Kahului Ale House. The Ale House was at capacity for the game, with about 165 locals and visitors at the restaurant. Owner Brad Sundin said the game is one of his biggest draws and that he usually has to have add staff for the "grandaddy of big games." Sundin also said he brought in a couple more television sets for a total of 35 big-screen monitors (including a projector). For more on the Super Bowl, see Sports.
