Na Alii, Warriors each conclude seasons with ties

Both Maui Interscholastic League girls soccer teams playing in the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Division I State Championship ended their seasons with ties on Saturday at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex on Oahu.

In the fifth-place game, third-seeded Kamehameha Maui and fourth-seeded Konawaena played to a scoreless draw. King Kekaulike and Kealakehe tied 3-3 in the seventh-place match.

The Warriors (14-3-1) extended the MIL's streak of having a team finish at least fifth in D-I to five years. The Wildcats finish 13-2-2.

Kayela Santiago scored twice for Na Alii (11-3-3), and Mahina Ashdown-Deponte also had a goal. The Waveriders (11-2-3) got two goals from Lexie Cuaresma and one from Jade Richmond.
