The University of Hawaii men's basketball team overcame a 14-point first-half deficit to beat host UC Riverside 72-68 on Thursday.
Christian Standhardinger had 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Rainbow Warriors, who won their second consecutive road game. Brandon Spearman scored 14 of his 15 points in the first half
Hawaii (12-9, 5-4 Big West) went on a 6-0 run to take a 71-67 lead with 91 seconds remaining in the game. Isaac Fotu made a pair of layups and Vander Joa-quim hit two shots from the foul line during the rally.
After the Highlanders' Chris Patton made a free throw with 32 seconds left, Standhardinger sealed the victory for the 'Bows by hitting a free throw with six seconds remaining.
Hawaii trailed 32-18 after a 3-pointer by Austin Quick with 6:38 left in the first half.
Patton scored 13 points, Quick added 12 - all on
3-pointers - and Josh Fox finished with 10 points for UC Riverside (5-16, 2-7).
Hawaii will conclude its four-game road trip on Saturday with a game against Cal State Fullerton.
