A high surf warning remains in effect until 6 p.m. Friday for north and west facing shores of Molokai and north facing shores of Maui, the National Weather Service said.

Beach goers need to exercise caution due to large surf and sweeping waves; swimmers need to be aware of dangerous rip currents.
Boaters should be aware of increased numbers of surfers and body boarders using harbor channels to access surfing areas.
