CELEBRATE CHINESE NEW YEAR IN WAILUKU

Wailuku opens its heart to welcome the entire community to another blast-off party on historic Market Street. Besides great music, food and crafts, Wailuku First Friday greets the Year of the Snake with Ben Seng Au's Lion Dance to bring great fortune and luck for the new year from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in front of First Hawaiian Bank.

Maui Academy of Performing Arts' "Man of La Mancha," opens tonight at 7:30 at the Steppingstone Playhouse in Queen Ka'ahumanu Center. Tickets are $25 adults, $22 seniors and $18 students (18 and younger). FRIDAY NIGHT IS ART NIGHT IN LAHAINA

Stroll through dozens of art galleries in Lahaina town from 6 to 9 p.m. for special gallery shows, featured artists in action and refreshments all free and open to the public. Pick up the walking map of participants from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Lahaina Visitor Center located at the Old Lahaina Courthouse.

JUDY'S GANG SALUTES OUR SOLDIERS

SOS! Judy's Gang will honor the brave soldiers and veterans who have given so much to our country in "Salute Our Soldiers," from 7 p.m. at the MACC's Castle Theater.
