MIL goes 0-2 in first round

Na Alii fall to Moanalua; Spartans blanked by Kauai

King Kekaulike and Seabury Hall both lost first-round matches Wednesday in the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Girls Soccer State Championships at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex.

Moanalua beat King Kekaulike 4-1 in a Division I match; while Kauai beat Seabury Hall 5-0 in a Division II match.

Storm Kenui scored in the 32nd, 39th and 78th minutes, and Nikki Higa scored in the second for Moanalua (12-2-0).

Kayela Santiago scored for Na Alii in the 64th.

King Kekaulike (10-3-2) will face Waianae in a consolation match today at 1 p.m.

In the D-II match, Malu Vegas, Casscade Mayer, Caitlyn Cantorna, Kayla Chang and Wailana Gandeza scored for Kauai (7-2-2).
