Updated 6 p.m.
A high surf advisory for north facing shores of Molokai and Maui has been extended to 6 a.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.
The current northwest swell will continue to bring elevated surf to north facing shores though it has diminished from earlier warning levels.
Waves are expected to be 10 to 15 feet.
Beach goers and swimmers are advised to exercise caution due to strong breaking waves on shorelines and rip currents.
