Sam Cyr, a King Kekaulike High School graduate, will return to the Asian Tour after finishing in a tie for 11th in the final stage of the qualifying tournament on Saturday at Springfield Royal Country Club in Hua Hin, Thailand.
Cyr, who finished 69th on the Asian Tour Order of Merit last season with $44,273, closed with a 3-under-par 68 to finish at 7-under 278 in the tournament, which also had a round at Imperial Lakeview Golf Course. American Chan Kim won the event at 272.
Cyr's wins as a professional include the 2010 Mid-Pacific Open, 2011 Hawaii State Open and 2011 Maui Open.
