Feb. 10-Keawala'i Congregational Church's 15th annual golf tournament is scheduled for Feb. 10 at Elleair Maui Golf Club in Kihei. The entry fee for the four-person scramble is $95 per person, which also pays for use of a cart, food and eligibility for prizes. The entry deadline is Feb. 3, or when the field has been filled. March 30-The Pharmacy Group scholarship golf tournament is scheduled for March 30 at The King Kamehameha Golf Club in Waikapu, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. The entry fee for the four-person scramble is $175 per person. All participants will receive a Titleist SM4 Vokey Wedge, and the fee also pays for greens fees, use of a cart, lunch and eligibility for prizes. * RUNNING
Feb. 2-The Pacific Whale Foundation's Run and Walk for the Whales is scheduled for Feb. 2. The event will have courses covering multiple distances, runs and walks at three distances - half-marathon as well as 10 and 5 kilometers - and a 2K youth run. The courses for all distances begin and end at Makena Beach & Golf Resort. Registration can be completed online at flpregister.com/21 until 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 30. The fees for foundation members are $40 for the half marathon, $35 for the 10K, $30 for the 5K and $20 for the 2K. The fees for nonmembers are $5 more. Race-day registration will cost an additional $5. The entry fee also pays for a shirt, postrace breakfast and eligibility for prizes.
