Edward Stanley DeMello, 86, of Haiku, passed away on January 12, 2013 at his residence. He was born on January 5, 1927 in Paia, Maui. Services are scheduled for Thursday, January 24, 2013, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Haiku, with visitation from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Mass at 9:30 a.m., and burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Maui Veteran's Cemetery.
Edward was a retired Hauler Driver with Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company and a Veteran of the United States Army. He also remained until his passing, a member of the Maui Puerto Rican Association, the Maui Portuguese Cultural Club, and the Portuguese Association of Maui.
He is survived by his wife, Roseline Rosado DeMello; sons, Edward DeMello Jr. of Colorado, Ronald (Lupe) DeMello of Colorado, and Anthony (Elaine) DeMello of Albuquerque, New Mexico; stepchildren, Jo-Ann (Mark) Potter, Tracy (Damien) Feliciano and predeceased, Mark (Cassandra) Feliciano; sisters, Frances Tengan, Thelma Boteilho, and Agnes DeMello; 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
