MIL basketball: Seabury Hall bounces back from season’s first loss

The Seabury Hall boys basketball team bounced back from its first loss of the season by defeating St. Anthony 68-50 on Friday at the Erdman Athletic Center in Olinda, and remained tied for first place in the Maui Interscholastic League Division II standings.

Michael Clarion scored 15 points for the Spartans (6-1), who lost to the Trojans on Thursday. Kai Shibley added 14 points.

St. Anthony (1-6) got 20 points from Preston Masanda, and 19 from Michael Fernandez.

* LAHAINALUNA BOYS 60, MAUI HIGH 27: At Lahaina, Jake Francis scored 14 points, Manny Brands added 12 and Cyrus Kama had 10 for Lahainaluna (4-3).

Kepa Fuentes scored eight for Maui High (0-7).

* MOLOKAI BOYS 55, LANAI 51: At Lanai City, Oli Falealii scored 21 points for Molokai (6-1), and David Rapanot hit five 3-pointers on the way to 19 points.

Marcus Koep was the leading scorer for Lanai (1-6), with 16 points. Jestonie Molina added 14.

* SEABURY HALL GIRLS 49, LANAI 24: At Olinda, Seabury Hall allowed only two points in each of the first two quarters, and improved to 6-1.

Allison Rudow and Tiare Camarillo each scored 10 points for the Spartans, who had already secured the MIL D-II regular-season title.

Katie Sarme scored 14 points for Lanai (0-7).
