Anyone know what is happening with the deer around here? I live in Maui Meadows and have seen four deer in the middle of the Piilani Highway just south of Mapu Place in the very early-morning hours.
The police have been on the scene two of those times.
I am wondering why are the deer coming down this way and what is being done about it? Please, if you are traveling in this area in the early-morning hours be careful. I have tried to contact the Department of Land and Natural Resources for information but can't seem to find anyone who knows anything. It is sad to see but it also a hazard to anyone driving as well.
