Carlos Santana will perform on Feb. 28

Renowned guitarist Carlos Santana will perform two concerts in Hawaii next month, including one night on Maui - his first public shows in the islands in 15 years, according to concert officials.

Santana will play Feb. 28 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. He had been the first act to perform in the MACC's outdoor amphitheater in 1994, and will return to perform in the new Yokouchi Pavilion/A&B Amphitheater for next month's show.

Ticket prices are $65, $79 and $89, with a limited number of premium $129 tickets available.

Tickets for the Maui show go on sale to MACC members at 10 a.m. Saturday at the box office, at mauiarts.org and by phone at 242-7469. Sales to the general public start at 10 a.m. Jan. 26.

Santana will first play a Honolulu show Feb. 26 at the Neal Blaisdell Center's arena.

Tickets for that show are priced at $59, $79 and $89, and go on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Blaisdell box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and by phone at (800) 745-3000.

Santana has sold more than 100 million records and has won 10 Grammy Awards to date, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

The Hawaii shows are presented by Mark Lieberberg in association with Ron Gibson Entertainment and the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
