MIL basketball: Agapay’s buzzer-beater keeps Na Alii unbeaten

Jansen Agapay scored 20 points, the last two on a buzzer-beating jump shot, as the King Kekaulike High School boys basketball team continued its unbeaten start to the Maui Interscholastic League season with a 53-51 victory over Baldwin on Friday in Pukalani.

Agapay hit three 3-pointers, and Jacob Havron finished with 17 points for Na Alii (6-0), who trailed after each of the first three quarters.

Bradley Bowlin scored 14 points for the Bears (3-2), whose only MIL losses this season are to Na Alii.

* SEABURY HALL BOYS 49, LANAI 47: At Lanai City, Kaleb Palmer scored 29 points for Seabury Hall (4-0), which trailed after each of the first three periods, including a 36-30 deficit going into the fourth.

Jestonie Molina scored 14 points for Lanai (1-4), and Jayvee Llamelo added 11.

* MOLOKAI BOYS 56, ST. ANTHONY 34: At Hoolehua, Oli Falealii scored 20 points for Molokai (4-1).

Brandi Carillo scored 13 points for Na Alii (5-5), who had trailed after each of the first three periods - they were down 28-16 at halftime.

Kristin Egdamin scored nine points for Baldwin (1-8).

* MOLOKAI GIRLS 37, SEABURY HALL 32: At Olinda, Camille Borden and Shaniah Mollena-Lopez each scored seven points as Molokai improved to 5-2.
