The H.P. Baldwin Best Buddies Chapter would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the BHS alumni and community supporters for their generous donations to the H.P. Baldwin High School Foundation that allowed the organization to donate to our Best Buddies Chapter. This generous donation allows our Best Buddies Chapter to accomplish school activities performing our program objectives of promoting inclusion and advocating for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Catholic Charities Hawaii is very thankful for all of Santa's helpers that made the Christmas holiday so special to the children in need in our community. We felt especially blessed this year with many toys, gifts for our older teens and food boxes for our families that just needed a little extra around the holidays.

On belhalf of the seniors from Maui, Molokai and Lanai, I would like to extend a huge mahalo for the wonderful Chirstmas program and delicious dinner put on by the Maui Hotel Association on Dec. 18. Tickets for this event were distributed to the seniors with help from MEO.
We appreciate being on the invitation list and want to express our thank you for all the Christmas dinners the Maui Hotel Association has invited us to in the past.

The Lions Clubs of Maui owe the success of our Oct. 7, 2012, Third Annual White Cane Walk to our Lions, our participants and our white cane holders.
The funds that were raised from this event support the Lions Annual Free Vision and Hearing Screenings for our youngest school-age children. It also helps purchase eye exams, eyeglasses, white canes, hearing examinations and hearing aids for those in need of financial assistance. Much support and generosity flowed from our community, from the Queen Ka'ahumanu Center and its employees, to our Maui High School students of the National Honor Society, the HOSA and student Kara Oshiro who embrace our Lions' motto, "We Serve."
The Lions are also grateful to: Ace Printing, American Cancer Society, Councilwoman Elle Cochran, Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, Hot Hula Fitness, Keiki and Parents of the Visually Impaired, Kaanapali Golf Course, Krispy Kreme, Lens Crafters, Meadow Gold Dairies, Nagasako Supermarket, Hawaii Centers for Independent Living, National Federation for the Blind, National Kidney Foundation, Office of the Elections, Starbucks, Takamiya Market, Tasty Crust, UHMC and to many other individuals too numerous to list.
