PUKALANI - Arnold Fruchtenbaum, founder and director of Ariel Ministries, will be teaching at Grace Church in Pukalani next week.
According to its website, the ministries provide intensive Bible teaching from a Messianic Jewish perspective.
The sessions will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 19.
The meetings are free and open to the public.
Fruchtenbaum, who was born in Siberia, Russia, and his wife, Mary Ann Morrow, a graduate of Gordon College in Massachusetts, spent time in Israel, where he settled in Jerusalem to work with the local church and train young Israeli believers for Christian service. In two years, their activities for Christ drew attention and anger from the religious authorities in Jerusalem, who eventually applied enough pressure upon government officials to force the couple to leave, an event announcement said.
Fruchtenbaum has traveled widely in Europe, Israel and the United States and has become intimately acquainted with the Messianic movement in all forms and struggles, the announcement said.
He holds a doctoral degree from New York University and is an author.
