Kamehameha claims share of top spot

The Kamehameha Schools Maui boys soccer team entered a tie for first place in the Maui Interscholastic League Division I standings by defeating Seabury Hall 3-0 on Thursday in Pukalani.

A.J. Owan, Chandler Alo and Kainalu Kealoha scored for the Warriors (6-1-0), who share the D-I lead with Baldwin, which has played eight games. The top four teams are separated by one point.

The Spartans fell to 1-3-0.

* KS MAUI GIRLS 2, SEABURY HALL 0: At Pu-kalani, Quinn Williams and Tiara Lucas scored second-half goals as Kamehameha Maui improved to 7-2-0 and entered second place in the MIL D-I standings.

Seabury Hall fell to 1-5-1.

* MAUI HIGH GIRLS 7, ST. ANTHONY 0: At Kahului, Shauni Okazaki scored two goals and added an assist for Maui High.

Okazaki scored for the Sabers (5-1-2) in the 46th and 74th minutes, and assisted on one of Mary Johannes' two goals, in the 64th. Johannes also scored in the 40th, with an assist from Alysha Miyazono.

Tiana Lucas opened the scoring in the fifth minute, on an assist by Malia Yamashiro, who scored in the 14th, with an assist from Sariah Kamalani. Jovena Lee-Agcaoili scored in the 51st.

St. Anthony is 0-9-1.
