Kailoa Akoi scored three goals as the Baldwin High School boys soccer team took over first place in the Maui Interscholastic League Division I standings on Wednesday with a 7-0 victory over St. Anthony at War Memorial Stadium in Wailuku.
Nick Lawrence scored twice for the Bears (6-2-0), who have played more games than all but one team in D-I. Taylor Sato and Jaren Otani also scored.
St. Anthony is now 0-8-0.
* King Kekaulike GIRLS 4, LAHAINALUNA 0: At Pukalani, King Kekaulike kept pace in the MIL Division I race, scoring all its goals less than 24 minutes in.
Kayla Santiago scored twice for Na Alii (6-1-1), in the 10th minute off an assist by Tiare Matsuura, and in the 23rd. Tiera Arakawa scored in the 11th minute, and Matsuura added a goal in the 13th.
The Lunas fell to 2-6-2.
* BALDWIN GIRLS 8, ST. ANTHONY 0: At Wailuku, Baldwin (8-1-1) extended its unbeaten streak to six matches.
St. Anthony fell to 0-8-1.
