In the WWII epic "Saving Private Ryan," a timeless message came at the end of the film. An older Private Ryan goes to Normandy with his family. Overcome, he asks his family, "Was I a good man?"
A son of Hawaii, Dan Inouye was not only a great man, he was also a good man. Rest in peace, good man. Let others carry on in your footsteps and raise their hopes high.
Be a good man, a good woman.
