I am a resident of Kona and was recently experiencing a shortness of breath, which led me to go to the Kona Community Hospital Emergency Department. There, I was given an assortment of tests and scans and it was decided that I would need to be transferred to Maui Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
Upon arriving at Maui Memorial, I was seen by Drs. Kimble Poon, Peter Muthard and Tracy Dorheim.
I would just like to commend Maui Memorial for the excellent care and treatment I have received from these wonderful doctors as well as the nurses (especially Trevor), case workers and others who have helped with my care. Everyone was incredibly nice.
The great coordination between the two hospitals was also outstanding, and we are lucky to have these two hospitals working together to provide the best and most appropriate care for their patients.
