Veteran is proud to be a supporter of Obama

December 23, 2012
The Maui News

In response to a Dec. 16 letter ranting about how Barack Obama is the wrong person for president: I'm a Vietnam veteran who voted for Obama and don't consider myself part of the black community, a societal parasite or a taker.

President Obama has done more to help the veterans of this country then the past six presidents combined.

I'm glad we did not get a draft dodger who supported the Vietnam War but was afraid to serve. If he had won the election, I would have shown respect for him as president as well.
