This is not the time to be giving the mayor or anybody in his administration a raise (The Maui News, Dec. 15).
There seems to be a lot back and forth between the new owners of Lanai and this administration without any talking to us here on Lanai. The people left over from Castle & Cooke continue to deal with this administration behind the backs of this community. Until this stops, I vote not to give this mayor a reward for not doing his job.
Another concern is the long delay on the community plan for Lanai. The Planning Department of this administration has truly let us down.
We on Lanai have no idea what deals have been done without the community's input. This should not happen. This is our home and we need to know what's going on behind our backs.
