Members and guests of the Maui Senior Citizen Planning and Coordinating Council came together to celebrate the holidays and install their newly elected officers on Dec. 12 at the Maui Economic Opportunity Inc. Family Center in Wailuku.
Maui County Council Member Gladys Baisa, a longtime MEO leader, swore in President Ruth Yamamura, Vice President Kathy Philips, Secretary Charlotte Asato, Corresponding Secretary Betty Delima and Treasurer Napua Turley.
The P&CC members are the presidents of 56 senior clubs throughout Maui County, representing more than 1,800 members. The presidents gather for monthly meetings at MEO, where they discuss senior issues, identify potential speakers to come to their individual club meetings, and plan excursions and events for their members.
