The U.S. Postal Service reminds Hawaii residents that today is the last day to mail first-class and priority packages and letters in order for them to arrive at their Mainland destinations by Christmas Day.
Thursday is the express-mail deadline to ensure delivery of packages to the Mainland by Christmas.
For interisland mail, Thursday is the deadline for first-class and priority mail. The express-mail deadline is Saturday.
The Postal Service also noted that carriers in major U.S. metropolitan areas will be delivering express mail on Christmas Day. Check with local postal clerks to determine if that option is available, the Postal Service news release said.
