Anthropocene, the age of man, is the name now given for this geologic epoch. This definition refers to our own massive impact on the planet.
Most people now get that our urban settlement strategy with its grotesque infrastructure and economies of destructive consumption are simply not sustainable. Radical change is upon us; we must change the Earth in ways that perpetuate and enhance life and beauty on the planet.
The forest is and always has been the backbone to Earth's ecosystem. If humans on Maui committed energy and resources to planting and caring for 50 trees a year per person here, we could bring life to our emaciated valley and mountainsides. This endeavor will transform Maui in a very short period of time.
Now give a gift of trees to Maui and contribute naturally to the age of man.
