Despite conservation, water bill keeps rising

December 10, 2012
The Maui News

After reading a Dec. 6 letter, I have to add my comment.

I too live in Kihei, the middle of Kihei, where it never rains. Because of this fact, I have reduced my lawn by half and added palms - which are on drip - and gone to cactus and other light-water drinking plants, like bougainvillea, over the last two years.

I have seen very little difference in my water bill and it keeps going up. Go figure.

All I can say about the electric rate is "unbelievable." And I have 24 solar panels.
