Wahine Classic: Kapolei, Hawaii Baptist in final

The Kapolei High School girls basketball team earned a berth in the Wahine Classic title game with a 39-27 win over Hanalani on Friday at Erdman Athletic Center.

Anna Souza scored 14 points for the Hurricanes, who advanced to a meeting with Hawaii?Baptist in today's tournament final. Chermayne Yago added 11 points.

Sarah Liva scored 14 points for the Royals, who will play Kalaheo for third place today.

* HAWAII BAPTIST 31, KALAHEO 26:?Haley Dixon and Dominique Hart scored 10 points apiece as Hawaii Baptist beat Kalaheo in a semifinal matchup.

The Eagles, who led 24-9 at halftime, didn't score in the fourth period.

The Mustangs' Jade Martins scored seven points.

* PUNAHOU II 32, KAMEHAMEHA MAUI 28: Vanessa Vaa scored eight of her 10 points in the second half for Punahou, which trailed by one after two quarters but earned a spot in today's fifth-place game against Baldwin.

Jayden Almeida scored nine points for Kamehameha Maui, which will face Seabury Hall for seventh place. Ashley Tanoue-Singson scored eight points.
