IRVING, Texas - Defensive line-man Tevita Finau, a former student at Maui High School and Lahainaluna who graduated from Kahuku, was released from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad Wednesday.
Finau, who will turn 27 in January, had signed with Dallas earlier this month. He was released to make room for wide receiver Andre Holmes on the practice roster.
Finau has spent time on practice squads with two other NFL franchises, the Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals, but has not appeared in a game. He played collegiately at Utah.
