Alan Fukuyama tried again this past election. He didn't win, but give him credit for trying.
Politics is a nasty sell-your-soul-or-not business, made for a chosen few. I know most of the politicians in office here - generally good family people - and Alan is a good man, too.
Nobody is perfect, nobody is God.
I was pulling for Alan, he'd be the ulua man sitting on the council seat. He'd be refreshing, especially on ocean issues. Does Don Guzman surf, dive or fish?
Good try, Alan. Maybe it's time to just go fishing and enjoy life. Leave the politics to those already there.
Or host "Alan Fukuyama's We Go Catch Da Ulua," with me as executive producer.
