University of New Haven sophomore Kaulana Ane, a graduate of Kamehameha Schools Maui, was selected for the American Volleyball Coaches Association's Division II East Region team earlier this month, and was named the Northeast-10 Conference's setter of the year.
Ane has averaged a conference-best 10.68 assists per set for the Chargers (27-1), who are seeded first in the East Region of the NCAA tournament. She is also averaging 2.33 digs, 1.00 kills, 0.49 blocks and 0.35 aces, and was selected as the conference's setter of the week three times this season.
Ane was a conference second-team pick - the first team did not include a setter.
