The Lahainaluna High School football team finished as the state Division II runner-up on Friday, losing 36-33 to Iolani in the title game of the First Hawaiian Bank Championship at Aloha Stadium.
The top-seeded Raiders (9-3) had squandered an earlier fourth-quarter lead before Tanner Nishioka caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from Reece Foy for the decisive points.
Iolani has won the last six D-II state titles.
The second-seeded Lunas (9-2) were bidding to become the Maui Interscholastic League's second state football champion.
