I have worked at the voting polls for years. We are given a book with a list of every registered voter. Included in that book is a list of everyone who has already voted by absentee ballot, so there is no double voting.
The fact that 12 polls ran out of ballots on Election Day is unforgivable. That someone uses the excuse that he used the primary numbers to tally for the general election, even my 13-year-old grandson thinks is ridiculous.
A very heated election that obviously is going to have a large turnout is not rocket science. I hope whoever made those decisions is taken out of the place of authority and retrained. And said person should write a letter of apology to all those who had to wait in line for hours or who gave up and didn't vote. No excuse.
