A few years ago, we ordered an anti-glare coating for our west-facing windows. When the installer arrived, he brought two beautiful Hawaiian nose flutes with him. It was Anthony Natividad (The Maui News, Nov. 1 and 5).
After completing the job, he showed Robin how to play the instrument and left us with a blessing by playing two flutes at once on either side of Jillian's head.
Anthony told us, "This music is pure because you cannot lie with breath that comes directly from your nose rather than through the mouth."
Jillian later asked Anthony to make Robin a nose flute for his birthday. We will remember this beautiful, gentle man every time Robin's breath creates sound through the instrument he made.
