Who are the rocket scientists at Civil Defense who insist on running sirens in Makawao and Kula when there is a tsunami warning?
News flash - tsunami warnings do not really affect Upcountry (except for providing parking for friends and ohana).
Could you please leave off the sirens Upcountry next time? We'd all (citizens and barking dogs) get more sleep.
Oh, and another thing: Why not keep repeating, "If you are above the Queen Ka'ahumanu Center, you can stay where you are, you don't have to drive to 1,500-foot elevation"?
