Scene reflective of weather ahead

November 4, 2012
The Maui News
A Hawaiian stilt wades in a Kihei wetland late last week as dawn lights up the West Maui Mountains. National Weather Service forecasters predict mostly sunny skies this morning, becoming partly cloudy with some haze and isolated showers in the afternoon. High temperatures are expected to be between 81 and 86 degrees, with overnight lows of 68 to 73. Winds should be variable, up to 15 mph. Residents can expect partly cloudy skies and scattered showers in windward and mauka regions from Monday through Thursday, while leeward areas should see isolated showers.
