Despite the negative energy surrounding our daily lives, we remain hopeful, positive and focused on Linda Lingle, who is running for senator. Her positive role and leadership in government have truly made a great difference in the lives of the less fortunate.
Thank you, former Gov. Linda Lingle. Through you and the creation of the Maui Governor's Advisory, our prayers were answered. Today we have the nation's first-of-its-kind communal dialysis home in Hana, which we call Hale Pomaika'i. Our loved ones (kupuna) no longer need to travel the long trips for dialysis treatments.
Now, other remote and isolated communities are following our model. You definitely deserve a chance in Washington, D.C., as our next senator and we appreciate all that you have done for us. We look forward to many more positive outcomes in our future.
