Laws are supposed to preserve the liberties and freedoms of we the people. Yet our lawmakers continue to pass regulations that not only ignore this concept but transfer dictatorial powers to the state that take away liberties and increase our dependency on big government. Major examples are Obamacare, the National Defense Authorization Act, the Federal Restricted Grounds Improvement Act and many sections of the Patriot Act.
Space available precludes me from listing all the losses of our liberties that are guaranteed in the Constitution.
Rep. Mazie Hirono has consistently voted for these laws. Disregard for the sanctity of constitutional liberties is unacceptable. She belongs in the hall of shame, not the halls of Congress.
