Historic sites get face-lift

Lahainaluna High School student Juleen Flory plants a native species during a community work day at Moku‘ula and Loko o Mokuhinia historic sites in Lahaina. The effort was coordinated by Friends of Moku‘ula in conjunction with National Public Lands Day on Sept. 29. Work included removing invasive species and planting natives, installing irrigation, removing old playground equipment and mending fences.
