Maui High School advanced to the semifinals of the Maui Interscholastic League Division I girls volleyball tournament with a 25-18, 12-25, 25-19, 25-12 win over Lahainaluna on Monday at Erdman Athletic Center in Olinda.
Suli Hifo had 17 kills, four digs and three aces for the Sabers (6-7), who will play today against Kamehameha Maui, undefeated this season and winner of the league's last eight overall championships.
Maui High's Tina Lotulelei and Kuulei Wasserman each had six kills. Lotulelei also had eight digs, and Wasserman had six, as did Toa Tongi. Kehau Dennis had 15 assists and Mele Enomoto had 14, and Zelda Roberts added five kills.
The Lunas finish their season 0-13.
