The quote of the decade, from Sen. Barack H. Obama in March 2006: "The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."
Almost $5 trillion has been added to the national debt by Obama and, he is right, we do deserve better.
Folks, we have very little time left to truly think through the serious issues facing this nation. The quote above also reminds me that Obama also said, "If I don't have this done in three years, then this is going to be a one-term proposition."
Twenty-three million unemployed, 44 million on food stamps, 46.2 million living in poverty, all are larger after four years of Obama.
The Congressional Budget Office now says Obamacare may add close to $2 trillion to the national debt.
Ask yourself the following question: Do we want to be another Greece or worse, or will we realize before Nov. 6 that we have a one-time opportunity to fix the problem?
